Cheryl Milburn is a southern Illinois native but spent 3 years in eastern KY, 3 yrs in western Kentucky, and 10 years in Lawrence County, Illinois. She moved home in 2005 and has been a fan of Redemption Church ever since. She has two grown sons, two wonderful daughters by marriage and the greatest four grandchildren on earth. Her background is in banking and accounting, but she also enjoys mission projects and our partnership with Farming God’s Way in Haiti. She enjoys the high energy worship at Redemption and wishes everyone had a pastor with a loving pastor’s heart like Pastor Robbey & Angie.

Mike Dover has been a member at Redemption Church for 11 years. He and Phyllis have been married for 50 years. They have two children, and four grandchildren. Mike is a business man who loves to golf and teach Sunday school.

Randy and Sharon have been married for 20 years, they have 3 children ages 18,15 and 14. They have been attending redemption church for 7 years. They enjoy working along side teens at the landing and helping them find healing in Christ and ways to live a God honoring life.

Alan Nolen was born and raised in Franklin County Illinois. He attended church as a child at the Antioch Methodist Church east of West Frankfort where he was saved at the age of 12. After college, he married Susan Lee, and they have three children. The couple attended East Benton Baptist Church where Alan & Susan were baptized. The couple and family attended Second and First Baptist churches in West Frankfort after moving from Benton. They attended the first day of service at the West Frankfort location of Redemption Church and were among the first to join as new members there. Dr. Nolen has served with his wife in the nursery, lead a home team, taught Sunday school and served the now Redemption Church in many ways. Alan and Susan have three children Alana Adkins, Ashley Melvin and John Nolen. They also have seven grandsons Hudson, Eli, Brady, Sam, Rhett, and Ryker.

Brittany Douglas is the Revive ladies ministry leader at Redemption. She is married to Will Douglas and they were blessed with their daughter Isabella through adoption in 2017. Brittany and Will have been members of Redemption since they moved here from St. Louis in 2011. Her favorite part of leading Revive is getting to see women be authentic with each other and encourage each other through the highs and lows of their daily lives.

Janet Sapp feels like she has the best position in the church, posting encouragement and information on Facebook. Janet is married to Brett; they have four children (including in-law kids), and one granddaughter. Janet is grateful to get to worship and serve God with her family. She enjoys seeing women find healing in Jesus through Celebrate Recovery, and is thankful to be a daughter of Grace.

April Dollins leads the First Impressions Team and Cafe at Redemption Church. Steve and April have been married for 18 years and have three daughters. April is a Southern Illinois native who has dedicated her life to serving others and sharing her faith through her chosen career path as a nurse and nursing instructor and in working to make you feel welcome as you walk through the doors of Redemption Church.

Brett Sapp is our Assimilation Pastor and has served God in different ministries for over 30 years. His desire is to help people live happier, healthier, spirit-filled lives. He was born in Ft. Madison, Iowa and has lived in over 22 different homes throughout the Midwest, Virginia, Florida and California (We promise he is not running from the law!!!) He is married to Janet, who he met more years ago than Janet will allow him to share. They are blessed with two children and their spouses, that love God and serve him at Redemption Church as well.

Tina Bird is the Celebration Place coordinator at Redemption. Tina and her husband David have two daughters, a son and over the years have had many teens share their home. Tina enjoys working with children and encouraging young disciples at home and at church.

Robin Tarlton is our Redemption Island Coordinator. Robin and her husband Mike have five kids and three grandchildren. Robin has served in a variety of ministry roles, including ten years as Children’s Minister at Cornerstone Church in Marion. Robin is excited to be a part of the children’s ministry at Redemption Church where kids are learning and loving God.

Will Douglas is the student pastor at Redemption. He has been married to Brittany for 14 years. After years of trying to grow their family, God blessed them with their daughter Isabella Hope in 2017 through the gift of adoption. Will and Brittany moved to Southern Illinois in 2011 and have been members of Redemption since then. Will has a passion to see students develop roots in their faith and to walk in Christ.

Robert Ward is the Worship Pastor. He has been leading our congregation in corporate worship since 2009 and gives witness to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. Robert has been married to Kellie since 2011, and they have two children (D.J. and Kalliope). In addition to directing our corporate worship services, Robert enjoys teaching Sunday School and in Small Groups as well as an occasional Sunday morning sermon.

Robbey Smith is the Lead Pastor at Redemption. Robbey and Angie have been married for over 25 years and have two sons and a daughter-in-law who love Jesus. Robbey grew up in Southern Illinois and has lived here all of his life. Robbey and his family answered the call to plant a church in West Frankfort that is now known as Redemption Church. Robbey enjoys spending time with his granddaughter and sharing the gospel so people can find redemption in Jesus.
