From Prison, The Apostle Paul wrote six chapters that capture both theology and practice. Both are essential in our walk with Christ. In this series, we will learn what redemption is and how it applies to our everyday lives.
Week 1: Adopted (Ephesians 1:1-6)
The Bible makes it clear that once Christ has brought redemption to our lives, we are adopted into God’s family. It’s wonderful to know we are no longer strangers or orphans in the world, but rather children of God. In this sermon, we will hear the implications of being in God’s family.
Week 2: Redeemed (1:7-10)
Redemption is found in one man, Jesus Christ. Through His death we have forgiveness, and through His resurrection, we have life eternal. In this sermon, we will hear how God brought redemption to us and how we to may experience the joy of forgiveness as we walk in this new relationship with God.
Week 3: His Guarantee (Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30)
How long are we forgiven? Is it eternal or until the next time we sin? This question haunts many believers. In this sermon, you will hear how the Bible gives us confidence that our salvation is guaranteed by God’s Spirit.
Week 4: Above Every Name (Ephesians 1:15-23)
Jesus Christ is a name that is far greater than any other name spoken. In this sermon, we hope the Lord will enlighten your hearts to understand the eternal hope we have in Him alone.
Week 5: Made Alive with Purpose (Ephesians 2:1-10)
How and why are we saved? Is it that we may escape God’s judgment and spend eternity in heaven? While true this view has limited so many from experiencing a life full of blessing. In this sermon, we will hear of the grace that raised us from the dead and set us on a mission to fulfill God’s purposes.
Week 6: Peace with God (Ephesians 2:11-22)
Often the Gospel is presented in a manner that leaves the impression God is ready to crush us. In this sermon, you will hear how the message of the Gospel is an invitation to experience the peace of God that is found in knowing Christ.
Week 7: The Fullness of God (Ephesians 3:13-21)
A life of ministry is often a difficult one. In this sermon, you will hear how difficulties are overcome by faith and prayer as God exceeds our expectations, regularly.
Week 8: Walk Worthy of Your Calling (Ephesians 4:1-16)
While Jesus commends the faith of children, He does not expect our faith to remain small. Paul encourages us to walk worthy of our calling. In this sermon, you will hear how committed God is to your spiritual growth.
Week 9: Walk Not as a Gentile (Ephesians 4:17-32)
The Gentiles were invited to enjoy God daily, and in doing so, their lives bring glory to God. In this series, you will hear a stern call to walk in the Spirit with a renewed mind.
Week 10: Imitate God (Ephesians 5:1-21)
Paul placed the target clearly on the wall for every believer, “Imitate God!” In this sermon, you will hear a clear call to walk in love, truth, and righteousness.
Week 11: Imitate the Church (Ephesians 5:22-24,33)
The bride of Christ is His Church; she follows His lead. In this sermon, you will hear the importance for wives to follow the Church’s example.
Week 12: Imitate Christ (Ephesians 5:25-33)
Christ is the perfect husband bringing His bride to the Father. In this sermon, husbands will be called to love and lead their wives to God.
Week 13: Godliness at Home (Ephesians 6:1-9)
Jesus said, “What good is it to gain the whole world and lose your soul?”, The same could be asked what good is it if you tell the whole world about Jesus and yet lose your family in the process. In this sermon, you will hear how to point those closest to you to Jesus.
Week 14: Be Strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10-20)
Paul ends his letter with the final call to action, prepare yourself. In this sermon, you will hear how to protect yourself from the evil one, who seeks to destroy you.
