How did Jesus live a sinless life? Though he was God, he put on humanity and defeated sin in the flesh by the power of the Spirit, the same Spirit that lives in us.
The Spirit Affirms
Orphaned by our sin, adopted by God His Spirit affirms our new identity, and we were all baptized by one Spirit into one faith and serve the same Lord.
There is no power on the earth as great as a Spirit-filled community. Momentum is gain inside a community of believers who exhibit devotion to God’s word and one another.
A broken society leaves a legacy of brokenness, the Body of Christ gives families the example and momentum to live out our new identity.
Baptized with Power
The disciples had an impossible task, make disciples of all nations, and they completed that task. 120 to 1.2 billion believers in a couple of thousand years, that is momentum. The Holy Spirit baptizes believer with power to accomplish the mission.
Though the Macedonia believers were afflicted, they would not miss an opportunity to be generous to other believers.
At Pentecost, the Spirit set believers on fire for Jesus. Paul warns believers not to quench or grieve the Spirit’s as he works in our life.
A Spirit-Filled Family
Jesus grew up in a Spirit-filled family, an ideal environment for any child. Our family is the first community God places us. This community should create momentum pushing us to follow God with all our heart.
