His elect, want to pray; often we attempt to pray but quickly run out of things to say. Repetition then gives birth to boredom; silence goes unanswered. This series is designed to teach, and encourage God’s people to talk to God as prayer brings us closer to God.
Week 1: Resurrecting Your Prayer Life (John 15:1-8)
Like a grape is filled with juice from its vine; so a believer’s heart is filled with God’s desires. God’s word is the source and secret of an effective prayer life. In this message, you will learn how to resurrect your prayer life with a structure that will help you abide in Him.
Week 2: Empty Prayers (Matthew 6:7-13)
Like clouds without water, empty prayers are spoken to men with no ability to answer. In this message, we will learn how to fill your prayer life with both eternal and everyday needs.
Week 3: Double Minded Prayer (James 1:5-8, 4:2-3, 5:13-18)
Doubt, selfish gain, and a life of continual sin are all signs of a double-minded man seeking only his gain. Thank God those prayers go unanswered! Are we asking rightly? Do we believe that God will answer? In this message, you will be challenged to pray rightly in faith.
Week 4: Don’t Lose Heart (Luke 18:1-8)
If Jesus returned today would he find faith? Encouraging His disciples to continue in prayer, the Lord told of an unjust judge who answered a persistent widow’s request. How much more will God answer the requests of His children? In this message, you will be challenged not to lose heart but rather to continue bringing your requests to the Lord.
Week 5: A Friend’s Prayer (Philippians 1:3-11)
Praying for our friends is the best gift you can give them. Thanking God for placing them in your life, asking God in faith to rescue, deliver, revive and even restore them.
Week 6: The Prayer Jesus Didn’t Pray (Matthew 26:45-56)
What if you could escape all pain; simply saying one-word “help” Jesus could have been rescued from his captor’s. The prayer for help never came because Jesus came to
fulfill the scriptures.
