Who Rules Your Heart

Oct 26, 2025    Robbey Smith

Who’s really sitting on the throne of your heart?

In this message from our Throne War series, Pastor Robbey Smith preaches from Exodus 32:1–14 and reminds us that idolatry isn’t ancient history — it’s a modern battle. When God feels distant, we often build our own “golden calves” — control, comfort, or success — and call them good. But just like Israel, God still sees the substitute… and He still calls us back through mercy.

💥 Main Points:

When We Fear God Is Distant — Exodus 32:1–4

When We Return to What Feels Normal — Exodus 32:5–6

When God Sees the Substitute — Exodus 32:7–10

When God’s Mercy Interrupts Our Mess — Exodus 32:11–14

From Sinai to Calvary, mercy has always stood in the gap.

While Israel worshiped a calf on the mountain, Jesus hung on a cross for ours.

🔥 Throne War Challenge:

For the next 30 days, identify one idol and replace it with worship. At the end of the series, we’ll symbolically shatter what’s been standing between us and God.

🎯 Call to Action:

Ask God to reveal what’s sitting on the throne of your heart — and surrender it today. Don’t bow to something that can’t save you. Come back to the One who already did.
