7 Day Resurrection Reflection
Day 1: The Empty Tomb
Scripture: Luke 24:5-6
Reflection: Reflect on the moment when Mary and Martha found the empty tomb and were asked, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen." This moment signifies the power and hope found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Prayer: Lord, help me to seek You in the living hope of Your resurrection. Strengthen my faith in the power of Your name. Amen.
Day 2: Fulfillment of Prophecy
Scripture: Psalm 16:10
Reflection: Consider the prophecy in Psalm 16:10, "For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption." This prophecy, fulfilled in Jesus' resurrection, underscores the reliability of God's Word and His promises. Prayer: Father, thank You for fulfilling Your promises through Jesus. Help me to trust in Your Word and live in the assurance of Your faithfulness. Amen.
Day 3: Declared the Son of God
Scripture: Romans 1:3-4
Reflect & Meditate on Romans 1:3-4, where Paul declares that Jesus was "declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead." The resurrection is the ultimate proof of Jesus' divine sonship. Prayer: Jesus, I acknowledge You as the Son of God. Let the truth of Your resurrection transform my life and deepen my relationship with You. Amen.
Day 4: The Disciples' Transformation
Scripture: Acts 2:32-33
Reflection: Reflect on the transformation of the disciples from fearful followers to bold proclaimers of the Gospel. Peter's sermon in Acts 2 is a powerful testament to the impact of the resurrection on their lives. Prayer: Lord, just as Your resurrection transformed the disciples, let it transform me. Give me boldness to proclaim Your truth and live out my faith courageously. Amen.
Day 5: The Hope of Resurrection
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
Reflection: Speaks of Christ as the "firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." The resurrection of Jesus assures us of our own future resurrection and eternal life. Prayer: Father, thank You for the hope of resurrection. Help me to live each day with the assurance of eternal life and the joy of knowing I will be with You forever. Amen.
Day 6: The Reality of the Resurrection
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
Reflection: Consider the eyewitness accounts of Jesus' resurrection as detailed in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8. Over 500 people saw the risen Christ, providing undeniable evidence of this miraculous event. Prayer: Jesus, thank You for the undeniable proof of Your resurrection. Strengthen my faith and help me to share this truth with others. Amen.
Day 7: Living in the Power of the Resurrection
Scripture: Philippians 3:10-11
Reflection: Reflect on Philippians 3:10-11, where Paul expresses his desire to "know Him and the power of His resurrection." The resurrection empowers us to live victorious lives in Christ. Prayer: Lord, I want to know You and the power of Your resurrection. Fill me with Your Spirit and enable me to live a life that glorifies You. Amen.
Conclusion
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. It validates His identity as the Son of God, fulfills ancient prophecies, transforms lives, and gives us hope for the future. Thank you Robbey and a Huge AMEN!!
I am a former evangelical. I now advocate for a non-supernatural worldview. I have developed a method which exposes the fatal flaw in the arguments of Evangelical apologists regarding the Resurrection. My method is called the Ghost Buster Counter-Apologetics Technique. I welcome any feedback.
